Guided Tours:
Guided tours are free with your admission. Our amazing and knowledgeable tour guides bring history to life with stories and anecdotes to engage all ages. Guided tours take place at 10am and 1pm.
All schedules are subject to change. Tour capacity is limited and on a first come first serve basis. Advance reservations for tours are not accepted. Tours last approximately one hour.
Gold Panning is also included with your admission. There is a video to teach you the fundamentals along with all of the equipment you will need to search for your treasure. (Additional tools and gems are available for purchase in our gift shop)
The Museum also has multiple movies to help show the history and importance of mining to our area. Footage shows the hardship and challenges the early prospectors and miners faced along with examples of successes and failures. The movies are also included with your admission.

If you have a large group, or a group with specialized needs/requirements, please call in advance so we can provide the best museum experience for you. 719-488-0880.

Reynolds Ranch House Tours - Reservation Required

Check-in for the tour at the Main Museum Building.
Tour the historic Reynolds House, the lone survivor of Victorian-era farmhouses in northern El Paso County. This Queen Anne-style Victorian farmhouse was built in the mid-1890s and is now on the Colorado Register of Historic Properties.
Learn about the history of the property and surrounding area during a 30 minute tour of the Reynolds House. Space is limited; please reserve your spot.
*Please note that only the first floor of the home is ADA accessible. The majority of the tour will take place on the first floor though guests will be invited to tour the second floor if they choose. The stairs to the second floor are steep and narrow.
*You may like to allow extra time before or after the tour to explore the grounds which include the historic barns, bunkhouses, and apple orchard.
